There isn't one zombie fan who hasn't heard of Max Brooks. He is the creator of the great Zombie Survival Guide. In addition to this (as well being Mel Brooks' son), he also wrote the awesome novel, World War Z. Thanks to today's world of Shawn of the Dead and Zombieland, we will now be getting a film adaptation of the book. Don't expect WWZ to be funny though; this book is written as if there truly was a zombie apocalypse and a journalist is interviewing the survivors. Definitely a serious tone.
So serious that Brad Pitt has joined the cast! Granted, he will only be the journalist but you know he would be quite the qualified zombie hunter. We've come a long way from B-movies of the past when such A-list actors want to kick in some undead skulls (interesting, according to blogger.com "undead" is not a word). I now have confidence in the future of film.
